After some meta blogging and thinking about the situation we find ourselves in, I have decided I want to take the fight to the enemy. The 'enemy' being one George W. Bush the current President of the United States. Any who have been reading this blog lately should be familiar with the reasons I believe this should be done, what the legal arguments are as to why it must be done to preserve the rule of law in our nation and the process by which we can do it.
I have also posted many times in the past about the pathology of Mr. Bush, his criminality and the basic threat he poses, not only to our rule of law but to our society itself.
Many of Mr. Bush's supporters have gleefully trumpeted to the heavens, these are the end times. I would make them the 'end times' for Mr. Bush personally. Make no mistake, this is personal for me. I was around when Nixon got his; worse I was around and did nothing as the forces of fascism and authoritarianism slowly wormed their way into our government. We now have a government which says this is perfectly acceptable. That this is the act of a 'great power'
and just the 'cost of doing business'.
I say not.
I say we need to start by cutting the head off the monster. The way to do this is the only way anything ever gets done in this nation.
We, the citizens of this nation, have to do it.
If, as I hope we will, we get a substantial enough number of signatures I will have it presented to the city council and demand they vote it's approval and transmission to the House of Representatives.
As always, your feedback would be appreciated.
Your signature and the signatures of those of your friends who live in Oakland would be appreciated even more.
I leave you with this thought for today: If not now, when?
Note: Some links in this post lead to scenes of graphic violence perpetrated by your government. If you feel you might be disturbed by such...Do not clik any link about consequences.
I, A.Citizen, and no one else approved this message.

Hi, A. Citizen -
I want to sign in the petition, but I've had a bad experience in the past with someone grabbing the names on a petition and putting them in an RSS feed. When I tried to get my name taken off the petition in order to protect my privacy, I didn't even get a reply.
When I sign this petition, will all my info be displayed online? I think it requires using my real info in order to validate that I'm eligible to vote in Oakland.

First, I have required that you enter your address as this will be something the City Council will want to know.
That said, no one's personal data used in this petition can be viewed online or anywhere else unless petition online's security is breached, an unlikely event, by anyone other than A.Citizen.
Your signature and personal data, this is mainly your address, will never be used by A.Citizen for anything other than it's intended use: Submission of the petition to the Oakland City Council.
You can review Petition Online's privacy policy at: http://www.petitiononline.com/privacy-pets.html
I think it's pretty reasonable for a free site.
Let me know what you think.
